Your attention to detail and willingness to help Cork create the very best experience for your audience is greatly appreciated!
STAGING
- If possible, set the room up in a classroom or theater style. Position the first row about five to six feet from the stage. Second choice is a semi-circle and final is a round table discussion format.
- Stage size and height appropriate for room size. A 2-3 foot riser is recommended for audiences of 50 or more.
- One lectern to the side of the stage with space for an 8.5 x 11-inch notebook
- 2 bottles of water, no ice
ROOM ENVIRONMENT
- Cork will use the entire stage area and will stay toward the front edge. A bright stage helps the audience focus on the front of the room. If the room has any spotlights, please aim them for a general wash of the front of the stage and not directly into Cork's eyes.
- Please dim the lighting on the video screen(s) but keep the house lights up all the way.
EQUIPMENT
- A Second microphone (handheld or stationary) is for the introducer. It works best if there is no need to “hand off” the lavaliere microphone from the introducer to the speaker.
- Cork travels with both a DVD and a VHS tape of his video clips, so he needs either a DVD player OR a VHS video player and an A/V technician to start and stop the video. OR at least a remote control to start and stop the video from the stage.
- LCD projector (1600 lumens minimum) connected to DVD or VHS video player and a large projection screen (12 feet minimum) Projection screen should be large enough to be seen by every audience member.
NOTE: A large screen TV with a DVD or VCR player works for audiences of less than 100.
- Wireless lavaliere (tie clip) microphone with fresh batteries, plus a back-up microphone
- The video segments include music – so a sound patch cord from the DVD/VCR player to the room’s sound system will also be required.
RECORDING OF PRESENTATION
- A separate recording agreement must be signed prior to the event, as the material delivered is copyright. A seperate agreement must be signed if you would like to make a recording.
