What is Coaching?

Coaching is a coach-client relationship designed to enhance, and lift to a fantastically high level, the lifelong process of human mental, spiritual, financial, and physical development toward dynamic fulfillment.

What’s the Difference Between a Consultant, Therapist, and Success Coach?

If life is a path we’re all on and life successes are way points along that path of life, then in the raw, a consultant is the one who does the work of getting you from way point to the next; a therapist helps you answer why you were at where you were at previous points, and a success coach shows you how to get from waypoint to waypoint, but also accompanies you along that path, helping you past the blocks and obstructions.

Consultant

Yes, it’s easy to confuse a coach with a consultant. There are consultants who also coach, but consultants are unto themselves troubleshooters who come in for a short time, help you with getting you to your goal, and then they're gone — they’re a mechanic who actually fixes what’s wrong.

A relationship with a coach on the other hand is much longer and can be life-long, and designed to help you fix and improve your own success machine independently!

Therapist

A therapist is more concerned with how you’re feeling about your past experiences, helping you delve into and understand why and how you got to where you are now, and more importantly why it is that you keep repeating an activity that is not conducive to your mental or social health.

Like coaching, this can be a life-long process for some. But, that is the only similarity: coaches are more concerned with where you ARE NOW, and WHERE YOU WANT TO GO!

Going into the past is a place that is not necessary for a coach, and actually can be counterproductive and actually dangerous if you’re not trained as a clinical psychologist and prepared to deal with issues better dealt with by a therapist, instead of a success coach/client interaction.

NOTE: It's also illegal to act as a therapist if not trained and certified.

Coach

So what does a success coach do? A success coach is the person who provides unconditional support/guidance to a client to arrive at a number of professional, relationship, financial and societal goals and waypoints that are envisioned by that client.
